Ah, the idyllic pastoral beauty of old Japan, with a blanket of snow like a Hiroshige woodcut! But it still needs a little something to make the scene truly memorable...



Shira is fairly well bisected but not yet dead, allowing Magatsu to make a few more "points" before removing his remaining limbs and departing.



The protagonists are fully re-assembled, warm and tucked in by the fire. Presumably Magatsu toted along the left arm that Shira swiped from Manji volumes ago -- and now I'm wondering about that eyeball of Shira's that Manji plucked out whole from the socket like a hard-boiled egg! Hmm, they've been talking a lot in the recent chapters about the exact parameters of the healing factor and of transplants...



But there's someone missing, isn't there? Renzo's gone out to find the STILL-breathing ruins of Shira and make his own peace. As if...
